Recently Lonely Planet named Queens as the #1 travel destination in the US. This came as a surprise to some, but not to those of us in the know. Queens is indeed a diverse and exciting place to live, visit and DRINK! In order to celebrate this and sway the unconvinced, we’re pleased to invite you to Queens Brewers Night hosted at The Local NY. Each of “new and cutting edge” craft brewers acknowledged by Lonely Planet will be serving up their latest brews for one night only at the first ever Queens Brewers Night on February 7th. Sample beers from Big Alice, Finback, Rockaway, Singlecut and Transmitter Breweries. Enjoy live music from local bands Fairways, Hips & Brows, and Fuxida. Food will be available for purchase from Queens food vendors Love Grit Cook, Arborio King and No Fork Eats. We’ll also have $4 drafts all night from some of the featured brewers.

Rockaway:
Gold Rush Steam Beer
Curiosity (6.74%) Red Ale, a well rounded red ale with grapefruit hop presence.
Big Alice:
Rye IPA-Spicy, Earthy, Dry Hopped Balanced IPA
Sour Multigrain Stout-Tart and Acidic. Roasty with notes of chocolate and dried fruit.
Transmitter:
S8 Rice Saison, Brewed with flaked toasted Rice for a clean and light body and then hopped with new world German hops to add a layer of complexity with notes of pear, orchard fruits and green melon
Gx2 Golden Ale, Belgian yeast and experimental hops make this quaffable with fruity overtones. Hints of orange and citrus pith with balanced bitterness and a balanced nose.
Singlecut:
Eric “More Cowbell” Chocolate Milk Stout – a lusciously creamy, slightly sweet stout that sits atop a roast malt base an huge cocoa infusion that will rock all night long
2nd Beer TBD (possibly their brand new 200 Watt IPA or their Moshuggie IPA)
Finback:
FINBACK IPA – Bitter, dank, and hoppy. Filled with Chinook and Columbus hops.
DOUBLE SESS(ION) – This is a floral, spicy witbier “double sess(ion)” filled with ginger, szechuan peppercorns, and chamomile. It’s a wit without being cloying.
