Guests Rules and Policies
- All guests must present a valid passport or US state-issued photo ID at check-in, such as a driver’s license or state identification card. We cannot accept foreign driver’s licenses, locally issued identification from outside the United States, photocopies, or photographs of identification.
- Vaping and smoking are not allowed on the property.
- Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Failure to check out by 11:00 AM will result in a charge for an additional night.
- Non-registered guests are not permitted in guest rooms.
- You may not exceed a room’s maximum occupancy. Dormitory beds are reserved for one person only; private queen rooms are for two people. Failure to comply will result in a charge for an extra night.
- Towels and linens are provided free of charge. No outside bedding, such as pillows or sleeping bags, is allowed.
- Where specified, dorm rooms are gender-specific to maintain hostel security and privacy.
- Bags may be stored free of charge prior to check-in. After check-out, day storage is available for $2 per bag; overnight storage (past midnight) is available for $10 per bag, per night.
- Guests may not bring outside alcohol onto the premises.
- Alcohol may only be consumed in the bar, not in guest rooms or other common areas.
- Food is not permitted in guest rooms.
- NYC residents are not permitted to stay.
- All guests must be 18 or older to check-in. Minors accompanying registered guests must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- All guests must present a valid credit or debit card in their name to check-in.
- Maximum length of stay is 14 days per calendar year.
- A receptionist is on duty 24 hours. There is no curfew.
- If you arrive late at night, please be respectful of other guests who may be sleeping. Enforced quiet hours are 10:30 PM to 9:00 AM.
- For long or group reservations, a non-refundable deposit may be charged.
- Guests are responsible for property damage, missing items, unpaid balances, excessive cleaning, and other charges incurred during their stay. The Local NYC may charge these amounts to the card used to secure the reservation.
- Animals are not allowed on site, with the exception of trained service animals assisting guests with disabilities. Service animals must be under the guest’s control at all times.
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The Local NYC is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property, except to the extent required by applicable law.
- Failure to comply with the above rules may result in cancellation of the remaining reservation at the guest’s expense and additional penalty charges.
