Vaccination Requirement – Monday, December 13, 2021

We at The Local remain committed to our guest’s health and safety during the ongoing Covid situation. Now that vaccines are now available in most of the world and testing requirements for international travel are changing, we have decided that the most effective way to ensure our guests’ health and safety at this time is to require that all guests show proof of vaccination in order to stay at The Local.

As we are instituting this new policy in real-time, we will begin requiring proof of full vaccination next Monday, December 13, 2021. Our cancellation policy remains in effect and individual reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the day of check-in at no cost. We will reach out to guests who have made future reservations and urge our friends around the world who haven’t been vaccinated to seek out inoculation so that we may all travel safely together.

Our mask policy on site remains in effect until further notice. All guests are required to wear a mask any time they are not in their rooms and are not actively eating or drinking.

You can find vaccination locations in New York City using this website. Acceptable proof of vaccination is a CDC issued vaccination card, the New York State Excelsior Pass, the Clear Health Pass, and the NYC COVID Safe App which can be downloaded here.
